Welcome to Puglia's Idyllic Shores. Nestled along the breathtaking Adriatic and Ionian seas, Puglia's beaches offer a captivating fusion of natural splendor and tranquil atmosphere.
The stunning Torre Guaceto beach, only 20 km from our villa, is a nature reserve and protected area. Unlike the busy surrounding coastline, this beach has avoided development. You can rent lounge chairs near the parking lot, where a small snack bar operates in summer. The beach becomes less crowded as you move towards the tower.
Parking costs 5 euros during summer, but is free otherwise. The visitor’s center in Serranova offers nature walks (€11 for adults, €6 for children), cycle trekking (€17 for adults, €8 for children, including bike hire and safety gear), and guided snorkeling trips (€20 for adults, €14 for children, with equipment included).
In summertime, most nearby beaches are bustling.
For those seeking diversity in their coastal experience, consider embarking on day trips to Gallipoli (Punta della Suina) or Otranto, exploring the adjacent beaches.
Notably, Grotta della Poesia is a natural swimming pool near Rocca Vecchia, south of Lecce (70 minutes away), followed by the lovely Torre dell’Orso beach.
